kaustic machines has served a nice schematic based on original ideas of forrest mims.
the circuit represents a minimal noise maker with two pots to control different parameters.

elm chan made us a nice walkthrough on the tech behind creating a ground up laser projector from scratch.
he uses selfmade motors to control an x mirror and an y mirror. that done since in projecting with laser projectors you project using vectors and in that way you have clean infinitly focused motives and lines.
he can project even video. and i just got the idea of implementing his monochromatic projector with two more lasers so it can create vibrant color motives.
this is of course done by others already.
