using solenoids people have been making water displays for some time, however control has been dificult.
i thought about using a “MD24 MIDI Decoder” to control the sonoids using by turning them on one by one according to yhe played notes. thereby the only new interface would be to turn your monitor 90 degrees and start drawing out some notes/drawings in ableton.

this must be the holy grail for circuit benders globally united.
a device that translates midi signals into voltage control ports which you then can use to connect parts where there used to be switches in your circuit bend toy instruments. other uses could be to control the clock of a given instrument. control motors or other physical mechanical objects. control data input to different stuff etc etc etc.
its a part of a family of ‘highly liquid’ electronic kits and require some soldering if your not willing to pay the extra for a premade board.
it can even control servos!!! which make me laugh my pants of as you then have a precise instrument to control whatever physical or electrical action you want. and then control it through your favorite interface let that be a keyboard, a computer a sequencer etc etc etc etc etc etc etc and ETC.
so get on with it here you go:
